Version 2.1 | Last updated: 4 September 2026 | Effective date: 4 September 2026
This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) describes how Carservify SAL (“Carservify”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use the Carage mobile application, our website www.carage.io and the related services (together, the “App”), when we perform vehicle services for you (the “Services”), and when you otherwise interact with us. Part B (Section 13) describes the cookies, software development kits and similar technologies used in the App and on our website. Capitalised terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Carage Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”).
By creating an Account, using the App or booking a Service, you acknowledge that you have read this Policy and you consent to the collection, use, sharing and other processing of your information as described in it, including for the marketing, advertising, analytics and product-development purposes described in Sections 3, 4 and 5. Where your device or applicable rules require a separate permission (for example for device location or notifications), we will ask for it in the App. If you do not agree with this Policy, do not use the App.
IN SHORT
• We collect the information you give us (identity, contact details, vehicle data, addresses), the information generated when you book and receive Services (orders, confirmations, condition records, photographs and videos of your vehicle and of the work, payments, communications), information from your device (identifiers, usage, diagnostics, location with your permission) and information from third parties (Section 2).
• We use it to run and improve the App and the Services, to keep them safe, to communicate with you, to personalise your experience, to market our Services and those of our partners, to show you relevant advertising on and off the App, to analyse and develop our business and products (including with machine-learning and artificial-intelligence tools), and to comply with the law (Section 3).
• We share it with the people and companies who help us deliver the Services (drivers, technicians, workshops, suppliers, payment, messaging, mapping, hosting and support providers), with advertising, marketing and analytics partners, with our group companies, with insurers and advisers, with a buyer of our business, and with authorities when required (Section 5).
• We do not sell information that directly identifies you to third parties for money. We may share information with partners for personalised advertising and measurement, and we may use, share, license or sell aggregated or de-identified information that does not identify you, for any purpose (Section 5).
• You control marketing messages, device permissions and your Account, and you can access, update or delete your information through the App (Section 8).
SECTION 1

SECTION 3
How We Use Information
3.1 We use the information we collect for the following purposes, and for any other purpose that we describe to you at the time of collection or to which you consent:
(a) To provide the App and the Services — create and manage your Account, verify your phone number, identify your Vehicle and generate service options, specifications and prices, book, schedule, perform, document and invoice Services, collect and return your Vehicle, show you the driver approaching and the status of your Vehicle, process payments and refunds, and provide customer support.
(b) To communicate with you — send one-time passcodes, Order confirmations, Approval Requests, condition records, status updates, invoices, reminders (for example when your Vehicle is due for maintenance) and notices under the Terms, by push notification, SMS, WhatsApp, email and telephone.
(c) For safety, security and fraud prevention — verify identities, secure Accounts and payments, detect and prevent fraud, abuse, chargeback abuse and bad-faith claims, monitor the custody of vehicles, record calls and conversations, and protect our personnel, users, property and rights.
(d) To handle claims and disputes — investigate and respond to complaints, warranty, damage and insurance claims, fines, accidents and legal proceedings, and establish, exercise or defend our rights.
(e) To personalise your experience — remember your Vehicles, addresses and preferences, tailor the content, offers, services and recommendations you see, and understand your interests and needs.
(f) For marketing and advertising — market the Services and those of our group companies and partners; send you promotional communications, offers, news and seasonal maintenance suggestions by push notification, in-App message, SMS, WhatsApp, email and other channels; build audiences based on your interests, preferences, Vehicle and service history and show you personalised advertising on the App and on other companies’ apps, websites and platforms (including social media); measure the effectiveness of our marketing and advertising campaigns and optimise them; and run contests, referral programmes, loyalty schemes and surveys.
(g) For analytics, research and product development — analyse how the App and the Services are used, monitor performance and stability, test features, conduct market and customer research, produce statistics and business intelligence (for example demand by vehicle model, area or season and the performance of parts and workshops), develop new products, services, features, pricing and partnerships, and train and improve our algorithms, models and machine-learning and artificial-intelligence tools.
(h) To operate our business — manage our operations, workshops, suppliers, personnel and partners, keep accounting and tax records, obtain insurance and professional advice, audit our activities, and plan, finance, reorganise or sell our business.
(i) To comply with the law — meet our legal and regulatory obligations, respond to lawful requests from courts, authorities and law-enforcement bodies, and enforce the Terms and this Policy.
3.2 Combining information. We may combine the information we collect from the App, from the Services, from our website and from other sources, including information from our partners, to achieve the purposes described in this Policy.
3.3 Aggregated and de-identified information. We may aggregate, de-identify or anonymise information so that it can no longer reasonably be used to identify you. Such information is no longer personal information: we may use it, keep it, share it, license it or sell it for any purpose, including research, statistics, product development, marketing, advertising and the commercialisation of insights (for example statistics on vehicle service demand, parts performance or driving patterns in a given area). We will not attempt to re-identify de-identified information, and we require recipients to whom we provide it not to do so.
3.4 Automated processing. We use automated tools to generate prices and service options from your Vehicle information, to detect fraud and to personalise offers. Prices and work are confirmed by our personnel and by you before performance, as described in the Terms.
SECTION 4
Marketing and Advertising
4.1 Marketing communications. By creating an Account you agree to receive communications from us, and from our group companies and partners through us, about the Services, offers, promotions, news and events that we think may interest you, by push notification, in-App message, SMS, WhatsApp, email, telephone and post. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time as described in Section 8; service communications continue for as long as you have an Account.
4.2 Personalised advertising. We work with advertising and marketing partners, including social-media platforms, advertising networks, measurement and analytics providers and third-party data providers, to show you personalised advertising for the Services and for the products and services of our partners, on the App and on other companies’ apps, websites and platforms, and to measure and optimise our campaigns. To do this we and our partners may use the identifiers, device, usage, location, Vehicle and service-history information described in Section 2, may share such information (including hashed contact details and advertising identifiers) with our partners to build audiences, and may receive information from them about your interactions with our advertisements. Where your device requires it, we will ask your permission through the tracking prompt of your operating system before linking information from the App with information from other companies’ apps or websites for advertising purposes.
4.3 Partner offers. We may present offers from partners (for example insurers, fuel, parking, accessories or financing providers) in the App or in our communications, and, with your consent or at your direction, may share limited information such as your contact details with a partner so that it can contact you about its offer.
4.4 Photographs and content. We may use photographs and videos of vehicles serviced by us in our marketing (for example before-and-after images), with plate numbers and other directly identifying details obscured, and we may use reviews and ratings that you submit, together with your first name, in the App and in our marketing.
SECTION 5
How We Share Information
5.1 We share information with the following categories of recipients, for the purposes described in Section 3. Each provider that processes information on our behalf is required to protect it to a standard at least equivalent to this Policy and to use it only as instructed by us.
5.2 No sale of identifying information for money. We do not sell information that directly identifies you (such as your name, phone number or email address) to third parties in exchange for money, and we do not act as a data broker. As described in Section 4, we may share information with advertising and marketing partners for personalised advertising and measurement, and we may use, share, license or sell aggregated or de-identified information for any purpose (Section 3.3).
5.3 Information about our personnel shown to you. During a job the App shows you the first name, photo, live location and masked phone number of the driver or technician. You may use this information only for the purposes of the Service and must not store, publish or use it for any other purpose.

SECTION 6
Location Information and Google Maps
6.1 With your permission, the App uses the location of your device while the App is in use to suggest your address and to show you the driver approaching. You can use the App without sharing your device location by typing your address manually, and you can change the permission at any time in your device settings. During a job we collect the live location of the driver or technician from the Rider App and, while your Vehicle is in our custody, its position, and we link this information to your Order.
6.2 The App uses Google Maps Platform to display maps, search addresses and calculate routes. When you use these features, your device sends location and address information to Google, which processes it under the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy); use of Google Maps features is also subject to the Google Maps End User Additional Terms of Service (https://maps.google.com/help/terms_maps/).
SECTION 7
Where Information Is Stored and International Transfers
7.1 Carservify is established in Lebanon. The providers and partners described in Section 5 may store or process information on servers located outside Lebanon, including in the United States, the European Union and other countries where they or their sub-processors operate, and the laws of those countries may differ from the laws of your country. By using the App you consent to the transfer of your information to those countries. We take reasonable steps to ensure that our providers protect information transferred to them in accordance with this Policy.
SECTION 8
Your Choices and Requests
8.1 Marketing communications. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time in Settings → Notifications in the App, by using the unsubscribe link in an email, by replying STOP to an SMS or WhatsApp message, or by contacting us at contact@carservify.com. We will apply your choice within a reasonable time; you may still receive messages that were already in the course of being sent, and you will continue to receive service communications while you have an Account.
8.2 Personalised advertising and analytics. You can limit personalised advertising and analytics through the controls described in Section 13.5, including the settings of your device (location, notifications, tracking permission and advertising identifier on iOS and Android) and, where offered, the privacy settings in the App. Opting out of personalised advertising does not stop you from seeing advertising; it means the advertising you see will be less relevant.
8.3 Device permissions. Location, camera, photo-library and notification permissions are controlled in the settings of your device. Withdrawing a permission may limit certain features (for example you will need to type addresses manually) but does not prevent you from booking Services.
8.4 Access, update and deletion. You can view and update your profile, Vehicles, addresses, preferences and communication settings in the App, and you can delete your Account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete account, if you no longer have the App installed. You may also ask us to provide you with a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it by writing to contact@carservify.com].
8.5 How we handle requests. To protect your Account, we may verify your identity before acting on a request, for example by sending a code to the phone number or email registered to your Account or by asking for a copy of an identity document. We respond to requests within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable law. We may decline or limit requests that are manifestly unfounded, repetitive or excessive, that would adversely affect the rights of others, or where applicable law allows us to do so, and we may charge a reasonable fee for additional copies.
8.6 What deletion means. Deleting your Account removes your profile, saved Vehicles and addresses and other personal information from our active systems, typically within thirty (30) days. We retain information that we are required or permitted to keep under applicable law (for example invoices and payment records), information needed to complete an Order in progress or to recover amounts due, information needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims (including condition records, photographs, signatures, claim files and communications), information needed to prevent fraud or abuse (including to prevent the creation of new Accounts by users whose Account was terminated), and aggregated or de-identified information. Such information is kept in accordance with Section 9 and is not used for marketing.
8.7 Objections. If you object to a particular use of your information, please contact us; we will consider your objection in good faith and inform you of the outcome.
SECTION 9
How Long We Keep Information
9.1 We keep information for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, which generally means for as long as you have an Account and for a period thereafter, and we keep it longer where required or permitted by law or where reasonably necessary to keep records of transactions, to comply with accounting, tax and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, to prevent fraud and abuse, and to enforce our agreements. In particular, we keep booking, invoice and payment records for the period required by Lebanese commercial and tax law (ten years), and condition records, photographs, videos, electronic signatures and claim files for the period during which claims relating to a Service may be brought. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.
SECTION 10
Security
10.1 We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction, including encryption of data in transit, tokenised card payments through a payment gateway certified under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard, role-based access for our personnel, and logging of access to our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of information. You are responsible for keeping your device and your Account credentials secure and for notifying us promptly of any suspected unauthorised use of your Account.
SECTION 11
Children
11.1 The App and the Services are intended for persons aged eighteen (18) or over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under eighteen. If you believe that a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
SECTION 12
Third-Party Services and App Stores
12.1 The App integrates services provided by third parties that process information under their own policies for their own purposes, in particular Google (Maps and Firebase — see “How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services”, https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites), Apple and Google for push notifications and app distribution, our payment gateway, Meta Platforms for WhatsApp (https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy), and the advertising and social-media platforms described in Section 4. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties, and we encourage you to read their policies.
12.2 The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. This Policy does not apply to them.
12.3 The data-collection summaries shown on our App Store and Google Play listings describe the App as of the date they were prepared; in case of inconsistency, this Policy prevails.
SECTION 13
Part B — Cookies & Tracking Technologies Policy
13.1 What these technologies are. Like most apps and websites, we and our partners use technologies that store or read information on your device to make the App and our website work, to remember you, to understand how they are used and to deliver and measure marketing and advertising: cookies (small text files placed on your browser); software development kits (SDKs) (blocks of code from providers such as Google or Meta built into the App); device and app identifiers (unique codes that allow a device or an installation of the App to be recognised, such as the Firebase installation ID, the push notification token, the analytics app-instance ID, the identifier for vendor on iOS and the advertising identifier of your device); local storage (files kept on your device by the App or your browser); and pixels and tags (tiny images or code in emails, web pages and advertisements that tell us whether an email was opened, a page visited or an advertisement seen). In this Part we call all of these “Tracking Technologies”.
13.2 Categories. We use the following categories of Tracking Technologies:
(a) Strictly necessary — required for the App or the website to function and to keep it secure (authentication, session management, fraud prevention, delivery of service notifications, display of maps, payment).
(b) Functional — remember your choices and preferences (language, saved Vehicles and addresses, notification settings) and enable features.
(c) Analytics and performance — help us understand how the App and the website are used, diagnose crashes and errors, measure performance and improve them.
(d) Advertising and marketing — deliver advertising and marketing communications that are relevant to you on the App, on our website and on other companies’ apps, websites and platforms, limit the number of times you see an advertisement, and measure the effectiveness of our campaigns. These technologies may be operated by us or by our advertising partners, who may combine the information they collect with information from other sources.
13.3 Tracking Technologies used in the App.
13.4 Cookies used on our website www.carage.io. When you visit our website, a banner allows you to accept or manage non-essential cookies, and you can change your choice at any time through the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. We use strictly necessary cookies (session, security and consent-preference cookies), analytics cookies (Google Analytics: _ga, _ga_[id], _gid, _gat) and advertising cookies and pixels operated by us and by our advertising partners (for example Google Ads and Meta), which are set only in accordance with your choices on the banner where your choice is required.
13.5 Your choices. You control Tracking Technologies as follows: (a) in the App, through the privacy and notification settings where offered, and by deleting your Account; (b) on iOS, through Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services, Camera, Photos, Notifications and Tracking (“Allow Apps to Request to Track”); (c) on Android, through Settings → Location, Camera, Photos and Notifications, and Settings → Privacy → Ads, where you can delete or reset your advertising identifier and opt out of ads personalisation; (d) in your browser, through its cookie settings and through the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout); (e) on the platforms of our advertising partners, through their advertising settings (for example the ad preferences of Meta and Google). Refusing strictly necessary technologies may prevent the App or the website from working.
13.6 Tracking permission on iOS. Where we or our partners link information collected in the App with information collected from other companies’ apps or websites for advertising purposes, or access the advertising identifier of your device, we ask your permission through the tracking prompt of your operating system, and we respect your choice. If you decline, we will not use the App for those purposes on that device, but we may still use information for the other purposes described in this Policy.
13.7 Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics for Firebase and Google Analytics on our website, services of Google LLC, which use the identifiers described above to collect and process usage information. Information on how Google uses data from apps and sites that use its services is available at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
13.8 Do Not Track. Our website does not respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals; your choices on our cookie banner and in your device settings are honoured instead.
